Incorporating Sprints Into Your Training Routine to Really Get Abs
Friday, November 20, 2009

In the struggle to stay lean, I have always done some sort of cardio a few times a week. I never really gave it too much intensity and I would usually just do a light jog for about 3 miles. The funny thing is, I actually thought I was in really good shape, but the only problem was still I wanted better abs. So I decided to start running some sprints and it revolutionized the way I train.

Like I said, I though I was in good shape but after I ran a couple 100m sprints I realized I wasn't even close to good shape, I actually felt like I was going to puke. But while gasping for breath and feeling the urge to vomit I knew at that moment that I had found a new tool to add to my arsenal for becoming a beast. So I ran a few more sprints and I was completely toast, my legs were ripped up, and I was more winded than I would have been after jogging three miles. Talk about bang for your buck, and from there on out the more sprints I ran the more I watched my body transform into the lean physique I always wanted.

My advice to most people is to get some quality shoes and start running 100m, 200m, and 400m sprints if you want to get some serious abs. It is definitely an incredibly painful experience in the beginning but if you can get past that than the results are amazing. Be careful when starting out and make sure you warm up thoroughly so you don't pull muscles as you push you body to the limit. When your out there running just envision the cut abs you are going to get and use it as motivation to keep going, and in the end you'll thank me.

I am a fitness enthusiast who loves old fashioned training methods in the weight room combined with High Intensity Cardio to stay lean.
