Change Your Hair - Change Your Life
Friday, November 27, 2009
The fall is upon us. Every where you go there are smells of burning wood fires, piles of leaves in yards, and the like. For many of us the change of seasons brings out changes in all other areas of our lives; where we eat out, what kind of wine we drink, and even wardrobe makeovers. For some, it is a renewal, a chance to start over with a new look on life(this is especially true around new-year). With that in mind, I propose that we go one step further: change your physical appearance. It is proven that when a person alters their appearance, they alter the state of mind they are in, it is a natural occurrence that we as humans are blessed to have. One of the easiest and most astonishing ways to do this is by altering your hair style. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have short hair? A different color of hair? What are your style fantasies? Pick one and try it! It will make for a relishing experience that will change your mindset in lue of the change in season. Your hair is the crown of your beauty, it's time to spice things up and show it off this holiday season.
Here are the steps to change with the seasons. Follow them, and before you know it, your hair will have a brand new, sexy appeal that you might have never realized before!
Step #1. The first order of business is to make the decision that you want a hair makeover. This will be an exciting journey, especially if you have not changed your style in years like most.
Step #2. Select a trusted friend and persuade her to change with the seasons as well. This comradeship will boost your confidence and spawn new/creative ideas for the both of you.
Step #3. Brainstorm possible looks for each other. Get sketch pads, break out the irons, have a glass of wine and start being creative.
Step #4. Decide on what you absolutely cannot stand in a hairstyle. Ask your spouse what he thinks would not look good on you. It is crucial to not ask what looks good, this will cause a bias and a need to please attitude that will end up in a less creative design. Once you have decided what you do not like, your on the home stretch.
Step #5. What looks the best on you? After testing a few ideas, you will surely have a clear picture of what will look stunning. Chances are that you have several different options that fit.
Step #6. Now it is time to take your designs to a pro. Dedicate an afternoon and schedule an appointment with your stylist (if you don't have a real pro, see the bottom of this article for ideas). Make sure to tell them that you are in need of a hair makeover and have some possible ideas to work with(this will get them into the creative thinking mode even before you arrive).
Step #7. Let your stylist go to town. Let them use their expert knowledge to iron out the rough details of your designs (they will look a lot better when a pro has control).
Step #8. Once you both have decided on a design that brings out your natural beauty, ask them to please instruct you as to how you can do it by yourself. Watch diligently, take mental notes. If you need a few hair products to keep your new du up to par, by all means treat yourself to the best.
Step #9. Flaunt your new style! It is time to show yourself off. Let the world see how beautiful you are. Relax, this is going to be fun. When someone asks about your new style, tell them why you did it, they will be intrigued.
The great thing about changing with the seasons is that there are four of them! You can repeat this process four times a year. Changing your style not only makes people think you are more trendy, but also will give you a sense of keeping up with the world. Don't burden yourself with a style for years, that is just too boring.
Finding a stylist that you trust can be a task in and of itself. For those of you who are in my local area, I can personally point you to a fabulous stylist: His name is Dominik Pozzuto (affectionately known as Dom). He grew up and was trained in Italy, and is now the owner/operator of D'Avanti Hair & Beauty Salon, located in the small village of Scarsdale NY. Dom and his team of stylists are true masters who create a warm feeling that is nothing short of spectacular. If you are not in my immediate area, just start asking friends who they trust and use. Word of mouth is the best way of finding a great salon.

Incorporating Sprints Into Your Training Routine to Really Get Abs
Friday, November 20, 2009
In the struggle to stay lean, I have always done some sort of cardio a few times a week. I never really gave it too much intensity and I would usually just do a light jog for about 3 miles. The funny thing is, I actually thought I was in really good shape, but the only problem was still I wanted better abs. So I decided to start running some sprints and it revolutionized the way I train.
Like I said, I though I was in good shape but after I ran a couple 100m sprints I realized I wasn't even close to good shape, I actually felt like I was going to puke. But while gasping for breath and feeling the urge to vomit I knew at that moment that I had found a new tool to add to my arsenal for becoming a beast. So I ran a few more sprints and I was completely toast, my legs were ripped up, and I was more winded than I would have been after jogging three miles. Talk about bang for your buck, and from there on out the more sprints I ran the more I watched my body transform into the lean physique I always wanted.
My advice to most people is to get some quality shoes and start running 100m, 200m, and 400m sprints if you want to get some serious abs. It is definitely an incredibly painful experience in the beginning but if you can get past that than the results are amazing. Be careful when starting out and make sure you warm up thoroughly so you don't pull muscles as you push you body to the limit. When your out there running just envision the cut abs you are going to get and use it as motivation to keep going, and in the end you'll thank me.
I am a fitness enthusiast who loves old fashioned training methods in the weight room combined with High Intensity Cardio to stay lean.

Blushing Phobia - When Blushing Becomes a Fear
Friday, November 13, 2009
Blushing Phobia, or rather Erythrobia, is a very common and learned fear harbored by chronic blushers. An excessive blusher with blushing phobia should not confuse their fear with the original cause of blushing. Usually, the blushing problem arises because a person is dealing with unknown yet treatable health issues along with deeply rooted insecurities. It can seem like a cruel joke when the fear of blushing becomes another cause of blushing, turning into something as debilitating as a phobia that disrupts daily life.
Erythrobia occurs when a blusher expects to blush, fears blushing in front of people and is terrified of what others think. This is a very traumatizing phobia, as no one wants his or her emotions to be so transparent. Sufferers of chronic blushing feel like they're walking around with a big sign on their forehead stating "I'm nervous!" or "I feel shy!" An intense fear of blushing AND a fear of certain situations where people will see their red-faces are all a part of developing Erythrobia. Other sub-phobias can even surface...such as fears of specific people or places. This can be very devastating and the blusher might begin experiencing depression. If this is the case, try to avoid depression or anxiety medications, as once the blushing problem is cured, these symptoms will fade away as you regain confidence.
When someone has a Blushing Phobia, the actual blushing occurs in response to the anticipation of it AND the blushers tend to send their body into a state of fight-or-flight mode. Wanting the blushing to stop and wanting to run away all at once causes most people to tense up and hold their breath or breath shallowly. Breathing shallowly indicates to the brain that this is a threatening situation in which pain is involved. This is why one of the best ways to conquer your blushing phobia is to start relaxing and breathing deeply during your blushing attacks. This will seem very unnatural at first, but try practicing every chance you get. You might even notice a difference within a few days.
This is only the first step though. A blushing phobia, or any phobia for that matter, is highly interwoven into who you are - into your daily routines, thoughts and perceptions. Erythrobia is the manifestation of all your fears around blushing: how your skin looks in front of people, if it's really noticeable, if people are judging you, if your friends think your weird, etc. Blushers can find the best relief through daily hypnosis and meditation, through which you'll find that blushing is not something to be feared you'll watch yourself beginning to control it. After no time at all, your Blushing Phobia will be long gone and you'll start looking forward to social events, dates, meetings and so on.
One of the best things a blusher with Erythrobia can do is join a forum, where others with social anxiety can discuss how they feel. This helps reduce feelings of loneliness and shows that they're not alone.

Impotence treatments are effective but not your only hope
Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Experts are now arguing that the fact you suffer with erectile dysfunction does not ergo that Viagra Sildenafil Citrate, Cialis tadalafil or Levitra Vardenafil is the answer. Although the larger majority of cases can be treated with these three treatments, many sufferers fail to recognise that the condition can often occur as the result of other factors aside from blood flow and penile damage.
Low testosterone levels are also big causes of impotence, as are psychological problems and stress. Testosterone is an integral part of the erectile process and it is responsible for the production of nitric oxide. This is needed for the blood vessels to expand. Your health care provider will tell you that it is a good idea to get your testosterone levels checked in order to rule this out as a cause.
There are a number of misconceptions concerning erectile dysfunction, including the fact that it isn’t a common condition. Despite what we see on the big screen and the media, we aren’t all pumped up and ready for action and a large proportion of us will suffer with some form of erectile dysfunction at some stage in our lives. Simply stressing out about one particular sexual encounter can lead to a loss of an erection as can being presented with sexually confident women.
The truth of the matter is, although the treatments out there are highly effective and clinically proven, it is perhaps best to discuss the issue with a trained expert before beginning one.

Some Effective Ways to Alleviate Lower Back Pains
Friday, November 6, 2009
Lower back pains affect an awful lot of people. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it can leave the sufferer with very little, or no mobility.
Most people who suffer from this very annoying complaint, will tell you that they have to take some form of medication in order to get relief. That's OK, and you do get some relief by taking pain killers, anti-inflammatory drugs etc. But the fact remains that you are dealing with the symptoms, and not really tackling the actual cause. In this article, we can take a look at how other remedies and treatments can be used to give a long lasting relief.
Obviously, the first thing that you should do is to visit their doctor to ascertain the problem and the possible causes. You will need to do this before any more damage is done. I believe that some medicines may have side effects, and this will probably depend on the dosage you are prescribed. Side effects can range from mild nausea, to the more permanent effects which can lead to other health problems.
If you are like me, then you should seek and investigate alternative methods of treatments for lower back problems. Bear in mind that most alternative remedies, take some time for you to start feeling the benefits.
* You might consider going for Acupuncture Treatment. This treatment for Back Problems may sound horrific, and it can be quite a long process, but it can be a very effective treatment for back problems.
* There is also Physical Therapy, now this involves gentle daily exercises, a regular back massage and possibly other forms of treatments to relieve pain.
* What about Infra red Light therapy, now this involves the Infra red Light source being pointed towards your body. Now this light source will gently heat and loosen the tensed muscles, and this in turn will give you fast relief.
* Aromatherapy, very relaxing. If you mix lavender, chamomile and marjoram oils together and then gently apply the oil directly on to the back. This should reduce the pain and make you feel more relaxed. This in turn will have the effect of reducing the pain.
Just like the millions of other people out there, you too can start living a pain-free life.

Ergonomic Office Furniture
Friday, October 30, 2009
This article examines the discipline of ergonomics and how this relates to modern office furniture. With millions of pounds each year paid out in compensation claims, ergonomic office furniture is essential in making sure that workers are not exposed to the risk of strain injuries and are able to perform their work tasks as productively as possible.
What is ergonomics?
We can define ergonomics as the process of designing products to meet the needs of the user. This is important when looking at furniture, for the office in order to maintain a happy, healthy and productive workforce.
Ergonomic office furniture can include office chairs that are adjustable so that all staff can be comfortable and at the right height, monitors at the right height off the desk to encourage good posture and reduce eye strain, and suitable keyboards and mice to reduce the risk of RSI and other strains and aches. Appropriate lighting is also important, to ensure that there is enough light in the room, and to reduce the risk of people straining to see whilst they work, and to minimise headaches caused at work.
Why is ergonomic office furniture important?
The reasons why ergonomic office furniture is increasingly becoming more important:
Health and safety of workers - By equipping their workers with ergonomic furniture, companies can reduce the risk of liability and legal action resulting from employees suffering with repetitive strain injuries. It is estimated that there are currently around 5 million cases each year of such injury and these result in payouts amounting to billions of pounds.
With so many days lost to injury and ill health, ergonomic office furniture is just one of the ways in which you can make sure that your workforce is at maximum possible capacity at all times.
Productivity and efficiency - Ergonomic furniture helps organisations to make sure that their workers are as productive as possible. After all, if you are comfortable in your working environment, it stands to reason that you will work more efficiently. For a small outlay, employers can benefit from big increases in production and efficiency, saving more time and money in the long run.
Why it is important to take a proactive approach to ergonomic office furniture
There are two different types of businesses, those who take a proactive and those who take a reactive approach to ergonomic office furniture. Proactive organisations make provisions for workers in the form of furniture for the office which is responsive to their needs, before this results in problems such as strain injuries.
Reactive organisations only respond when the need dictates that action is taken due to worker. By taking a proactive approach, you can protect yourself from potentially costly legal action and make sure that your staff work as well as they possibly can do.
Now you know more about ergonomic office furniture, isn't it time that you made sure that everyone in your office is comfortable, and has all they need to be more productive and efficient?
